Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Is "Bendix" slang for something bad?

Why do people talk about it in hushed tones?

Poor management, which were replaced by somehow worse Honeywell management big C and his pitbull Tourette’s Tom. Never has anyone seen someone so corrupt.

Was a decent radio brand ages ago. A bunch of wannabies tried to revive it with flashy powerpoints and an attempt to create a culture that was distinctly not honeywell aerospace. "Our engineering will be better because we are all pilots"...well guess it turned out that they should have worried more about making money and less about the evils of process. Guess process wasnt the problem .. rest of honeywell made gobs of money and bendix NEVER turned a profit.
They tried for a decade.
Got axed as a division and punished by moving the leftovers into the olathe factory and forcing everyone to study the honeywell process.
Welcome to cedar creek.. cavernous cubes of despair.

There is also the nasty bendix brakes acquisition paperwork error that cost honeywell billions in asbestos claims and eventually caused garrett motion to declare bankrupcy ..the whole reason they were spun off was to dump that liability. Read the lawsuit. Probably a movie some day.

Bendix King. Can't help but laugh every time I hear this name. Sounds like a S.E.X toy.
