Anyone else hearing the rumours about HGAS sale?

In response to @15h+1jv277h9t I couldn’t agree more. If HGAS is sold, it has to take the sensors business with it! The two are totally dependant upon each other, even though they are currently under separate SBU’s!
Sale? Too funny. We will end up licensing it for a one time revenue bump to keep our shareholders fooled on how well we are doing this quarter. HW executives only know how well to squeeze and ki-l businesses instead of growing and nurturing them.
HGAS is always getting shunted around between SBU’s. Management have never really understood the business, whether vertical integration with sensors is a better option or not. Sadly both gas and sensors businesses are a shadow of their former selves. I think a sale would be in the best interest of HW, together with sensors before value is further degraded. There are increasingly strong competitors in both gas and sensors and I expect this to continue going forward.
They better hurry up about it, there are businesses old and new soon to launch the next generation of gas detection products and all Honeywell has is a pile of old legacy products and some bad reskins. All their talent is long gone and the industry knows it, that alone devalues whats left significantly.
HGAS is not currently in a group that can really appreciate what they can offer. Might npbe better to be in a business more aligned to the needs of oil and gas andchemical detection and safety.
True, HSS will merge into PMC.. HGAS will be with PMC.
HSS is a sell biz demolished to the ground under SM’ leadership for many years!!! Which smart exec keep in IA moving forward?
Possible in the next waves.
No sale, but I heard that HSS will move into PMC under IA. Recent walks outs of presidents and no real structure in HSS.
