Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Not news, I know. Just want to comment that it confirms Charlie’s moral principals and personal beliefs sway with the wind. Nice to know that our CEO’s sense of right and wrong is easily shifted by outside forces. He is gutless coward.

DEI is horrible. That is how most of our managers got their jobs, they don't know what they should. Most of them have folks on their team doing their jobs because they have no clue. It should have always been based on the best person for the job, not the checkbox. Things started going downhill fast when that was their main focus.

“When people become used to preferential treatment equal treatment starts to feel discriminatory.”

lol at comments saying yts against DEI aren’t for an even playing field. To the contrary.

Like it matters anyway. They're all hiring buddies from other companies anyway. JPM, BofA, Truist.

Whether you agree or disagree with the decision, what good is a weak-kneed leadership team whose sense of right vs wrong and policy is easily influenced by outside forces?

One then has to ask the question: what else sways their so-called convictions? Profits over people - yes. Profits over ethics - yes. Profits over the law - yes. Personal interests over business stewardship - probably. They have, in fact, proven themselves to be gutless cowards.

"Held back" is a straw man. Not happening. Every major corporation in the country has been falling all over itself for decades trying to create excuses to hire less qualified but right group people. It's a joke.

Notice it's the poorly educated who are celebrating holding back high-achieving minorities. They hate a level playing field.
