All Hands Meeting - Banking Implementations

I just got an invite to an all hands meeting. Approximately 750 people are on it for 30 minutes. It looked odd because it wasn’t a mass group. My immediate boss and her boss are not on the meeting, nor is anyone with 10+ years seniority. The lower level managers are.

On my direct team, 1/3 of the people were left off. My gut is telling me something is up. Does anyone have experience with the all hands meetings? What could it mean?

Teams has problems with large numbers of invites so the invites are split into several groups so it can go out to everyone.

That seems to be SOP for hostile changes of upper management. We saw that happen during the initial merger.

Can't speak to the invite criteria, but believe it's meant to be just informational town hall for implementation teams...nothing sinister. But it's quite telling about the working atmosphere that we can't trust any invites at this point...

A town hall vs an All hands meeting can be very different. In this instance the OP mentioned there are 1/3 of their team left off the invite. I believe if this was a regular follow up call then it would include all employees. Also given that it is only 30 minutes, it sounds more like an announcement.

Frank requires each area to hold all-hands meetings or town halls or other name after the quarterly meetings.

I’m on that meeting invite also. Lots of different levels on the invite from the Premier team. Not assuming anything but I’m guessing it’s a touch base call.

DNA, but the meeting looks to be mixed bag of products. Heavy DNA presence.

I don’t know how to reply to individual comments. It’s implementations, next week.

Honestly I’m not sure what’s worse. We would loose a wealth of knowledge if we lost the people not invited. One the flip side, having only 3 people per subject area assuming they kept the old timers would be a devastating workload.

When is the invite for?

What groups are included in it? When is it? Typically mass firings like that are uncommon.

Doesn't sound good... but honestly, you should already be assuming every day is your last. You might be the lucky one to get severance instead of being stuck there
