False dichotomy. The options aren't limited to RTO or RTO lite. There is an obvious third alternative. I wonder why that wasn't mentioned.

I like how the article basically calls anyone with an IQ above room temperature a cynic. Everyone has always known what RTO was about. This ninny is just framing the obvious in flowery language and publishing it, making sure to hedge his criticism carefully so as not to anger his future employers and advertisers. Journalism is dead.

I did not hit a paywall and don't subscribe to BI either.
Pretty comprehensive article. I'd say this journalist is finally getting the Corporate CEO RTO SCAM! Disappointed there was no mention of AT&T.
Highly recommend the article.
I copied and pasted URL into Google search. It was the first hit, clicked and the article opened right up.
