Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Tornado warning in Dallas. Is RTO mandatory?

I recall a safety motto something like “ no job should ever been done without safety first “

Tornado? just get into your RTO and find a seat, log in, collaborate, how you get here or go home is none of our concern.

You should be institutionalized. You are clearly not mentally capable of being in the public or holding a full time career type job.

All of you responding with m0r0nic statements - please go away.

Of course you should plan to work from home and not take a PTO.

This is just getting totally silly.

This reminds me of times when we had 1" of snow and 8 people would call in and say they were "stuck in the driveway"

a tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornados to form, but one has not been spotted yet. A tornado warning, on the other hand, means a tornado has been seen or indicated by radar, and immediate action should be taken.

there is no warning for Dallas at the moment

there is a tornado watch in effect for parts of North Texas, including Dallas, through 10 PM today. Severe storms are expected to bring large hail, damaging winds, and possible tornadoes to the area, with the highest tornado threat centered near Sherman and Paris, though isolated tornadoes remain possible in DFW.

in other words. texas has thunderstorms. shocking.

You should probably review your procedures for shelting in place in your assigned work location. and ask your supervisor

"What Would John Do?"

He would let the tornado know in no uncertain terms that he is an atmospheric disturbance expert and that the tornado has been going about it all wrong.

Are you saying stay home all day because there’s a chance there could be a tornado somewhere?

You should have gone to the office in advance of the storm to help prepare.
