Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Can we have layoffs again?

I'm kind of tired of losing good people to PIPs.

Chevron here. We’re wishing for the opposite. People want the yearly cullings because they’re less disruptive than these 2-3 times a decade reorgs. Grass is always greener…

You also make half the salary so I guess it evens out.

UK packages are required by law, our employment law protects us better than in the US.

respectfully checking, what was said “never again”?
Didn’t they just recently annouced laying off 250 people in UK, and also in Moncton?

:( did they blame it on predecessors the last time? I asked around and no one wants to work here anymore. A lot of us in my HC10 office, we are just hanging around waiting for the final package

Not going to happen. Was there something unclear about “never again”? Last package they blamed on their predecessors failure. This one would be on DW and KM. Not going to happen.

Bridge the gap I dare you. My one coworker though he needs to stay and work.

Offering a package for volunteers would be releasing control to thr employee. Exxon doesn't like that

Goes without saying… DW has a package for you

I just wish they would offer a package. Their head would spin with how fast I would grab it and go.

I don't mine just getting layed off or fired. At least done severance and unemployment. Pip is just a nightmare.
