take your monies and go to south or central America and live like a king.. you can have all the mexicans you want to service.
You are what is wrong with America.
Housing used to be a utility. Not a source of income.
People used to have to have knowledge or a skill or be willing to work hard to make a living. Now a person just has to have money. You can buy up all the housing and keep the poor from ever owning anything.
movie passes, netflix subscriptions
I’ve avoided these my whole life, I pirate, there’s a plethora of free websites that contain every streaming platforms’ exclusives in one location. Before you make the complaint about viruses, pop up ads, use ad blocker, makes your whole internet use better, makes YouTube bearable too. Most of the better sites upload HD within 5-12 hours of first premiere release, so have fun.
"I was cut in November 2024 and still freaking out."
That's a long time to be freaking out. Hopefully you find something. Hopefully you can find something. I made the scenario in my head should that happen to me. At the 6 month mark I'd probably just take a retail job to get something like Home Depot..something. Just so it looked like I was trying and maybe bring some money in as well.
I'm not too worried. I have a bunch of houses that I rent to families. After quarantine I've been able to nearly double the rents. Crazy times we're livin' in!
@OP well, the first thing to do is get rid of cottage rentals, movie passes, netflix subscriptions, etc. That way eating and living become more doable.
From my first job out of college, I tried to squirrel away at least half of what I made.
Getting fired from Ford without cause still hurts, but not financially.
All you young folks... save as much as you can. Buy bars of silver and gold if you must, but save.
I'm more worried about funding my fishing supplies. That stuff isn't free...
I can't do this anymore
Sitting here in fear and anxiety
If you still have any skills, you can find another job. However, if you have been working at Ford for more than 2 years, you no longer have any useful skills.
Do ubering while you can find your next job
Yep. Trying to cut back as much as possible in anticipation of the job cuts.
Yes, very. I was cut in November 2024 and still freaking out.
Yes. Very worried.
