I've seen people in the past, sell their house, move to a new location, and then get laid off less than a year later. Totally messed up situation and likely huge regrets financially and otherwise. Never ever sell your soul, or move, for a company.

Reason: I declined their ask of doing a cross country move coz my location isn't in the "organizational business plan"

I was down in the cafeteria and heard two guys talking about their teammate getting let go this morning in Workplace Investing, can anyone confirm if that business group is laying off?
One thing I've learnt here is don't be a "yes person".
The more you show your flexible, the more these manager try to push you, provoke you, trigger you with whatever unrealistic expectations.
They want to motivate by fear, have zero organizational, managerial skills, plus no empathy at all.
