Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Karma is a B

Two years, 4 managers, countless flash calls every other week.

Unlimited doze of stress, anxiety, uncertainty and still not over.

I really wish the higher management gets to meet their karma.

You've made Wealth / Brokerage complete joke for employees who actually wanted to do meaningful work by playing favoritism.

I wish there is a special place in he-l for y'all

@af+1jvq8n9gx Never listen to that garbage. Your risk is super huge if you 'move because of a job' Never ever do that. I've seen people in the past, sell their house, move to a new location, and then get laid off less than a year later. Totally messed up situation and likely huge regrets financially and otherwise. Never ever sell your soul, or move, for a company.

Wow, they don’t pay enough for that. Why does Fidelity think we can’t choose to stay in our own jobs or that we have to move where they want us to?

Not yet, but I was told:
"Your inflexibility about aligning with organization's broader vision is not professional behavior"

Reason: I declined their ask of doing a cross country move coz my location isn't in the "organizational business plan"

Does that mean you were laid off? I'm sorry if that is the case!

I was down in the cafeteria and heard two guys talking about their teammate getting let go this morning in Workplace Investing, can anyone confirm if that business group is laying off?

One thing I've learnt here is don't be a "yes person".

The more you show your flexible, the more these manager try to push you, provoke you, trigger you with whatever unrealistic expectations.

They want to motivate by fear, have zero organizational, managerial skills, plus no empathy at all.
