Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Relocate or quit

No more permanent WFH exceptions.

Doesn't matter what your contract said when you were hired or when you got WFH exception.

Everyone is being asked to "assemble" to a location so they can "mass fire" it seems.

SLC, KY folks are asked if they can move to Boston.

How pathetic do they have to be to ask individuals to uproot their lives??

How are they going to deal with global warming/ sea rising. It was stupid to build there when it will be under water or severely damaged when hurricanes hit. Plenty of vacant office building away from water.

Seaport WTC can’t handle RTO, certainly not with current headcount.

A reliable source tells, approx 1000 roles would need to be removed in boston to accommodate everyone at Seaport WTC

They want people in the office to get a tax break for people being in the office using the equipment. Nickel and dime everything as usual. When is the seaport world trade supposed to be ready to move in?
