Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Violated the False Claims Act and the Truth In Negotiations Act and will pay the U.S. government $62 million

The U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday that the company, formerly named L3 Technologies but now called L3Harris, violated the False Claims Act and the Truth In Negotiations Act and will pay the U.S. government $62 million after one of its divisions failed to disclose accurate costs for communications gear sold to the U.S. Department of Defense.

I always find the emphasis on employee ethics training by a company the gets in continuing legal trouble for ethical violations a little ironic.

And I believe that if you report major ethical violations there will be no repercussions like I believe I will win the lottery every day without buying a ticket.

This fake hours time card demand has been on and off for 40+ years. Back and forth.

The settlement is kind of a nothing burger honestly. It isn't affecting the stock price in any meaningful way. Maybe the people in charge of those programs will or more likely already have been impacted. Mistakes happen, especially with this many different sites, they WILL happen. Not alarming at all. Shrug.

@cn haaaaa!! Submit your timecard but NOT ethically!

Supervisor: your timecard should reflect our time policy
Me: my timecard reflects the hours actually worked on the day on which they were actually worked. You are telling me to submit a fraudulent timecard.
Supervisor: I checked with our time keeping department and they confirmed timecards should reflect our policy, see below (inserted time keeping policy)
Me: Changing my timecard would be fraudulent and against ethics policies and DCMA regulations. As such, I will NOT change my timecard.

Back and forth, back and forth.....FINALLY, said timecard was approved (UNchanged) and with no notice. I was also assigned a "communicating effectively" training module....with ZERO communication that it was assigned!

Guess who got laid off....yup....ME!! You cannot make up such buffoonery and a$$hat wearing!! Joke's on them.... 17 weeks severance AND 26 weeks unemployment AND now fully retired. The grass CAN be greener on the other side, it isnt always just different cow patties, take a chance and get out while you can. It is BEAUTIFUL out there!!

Please take your ethics training and be accurately log and then don't forget to submit your timecard.

As for proposals and other ethics, who cares.

Seems they will need to lay off more than 3% across the company to recoup a bit of this. Better yet, start at the top & cut the useless fat so as to get the biggest bang for their buck!
