Pulse survey - Not anonymous

Rumor has it the supposed pulse survey for the summer won't be anonymous, similar to manager survey.

What's the point of that, it seems to be a show trial just to appease new leaders in Wealth / Brokerage of how great previous leaders are doing the work.

I hope Masciliano and Melia knows how much stress, anxiety and uncertainty people are going through for the better part of past two years.

And with more recent push towards colocating teams, it's yet another nightmare doze of anxiety the team members have to deal with while the Level 8,9 and above enjoy the cushion of not having to deal with uprooting their lives.

I had a year where I voted low on everything and I’m still here

This was awhile back. But, I had the inside skinny on what they did to employees who voted very badly on the surveys.

Ever since I saw that, I always voted nothing but the highest scores.

Knowing folks' privacy concerns, clearly state the limited use of A#'s and I might feel comfortable to give my honest opinions.

Same with TrackIt, if they didn't clearly stated that the time sheets data is not used in performance evaluation, I'd put in 800 hours a week.

The reason for asking for a number is two folds. 1 - it makes sure you take the survey only once. It also gives the true participation rate. 2- it's the only way to connect to a BU L1 and L2. Those, plus the region are the aggregation groups. Besides the aggregates, your leadership won't see the granular data. Comments are grouped to create themes and a select few are chosen to share with the leadership. There is nothing shared about who wrote the comments.

Now, if HR wants to go after an individual based on what they wrote, they certainly can. It's not the intent of the survey and HR knows that if they do this, they won't get any participation in future surveys.

I however wish that they actually shared more. But it seems like the exercise (it takes a huge amount of time to release the report) is to massage the data, come up with alternative narratives, and find evidence for what the leadership already wants to do, rather than an honest self assessment and reflection leading to a change. Nothing ever changes because of pulse survey. But it's fun to see them go through contortions to explain it. The more people that take the survey and give an honest response, the harder it becomes to weasel out. So do your part, folks.

Pulse surveys were never Annonymous, a select group can view. That's how the numbers for each unit, location are calculated separately. Its meaningless otherwise, since you will not know which locations have problems. However your manager or his manager can't see, and it's still a good to get your voice accross in a firm where employees have no voice.

They will always ask the truth, but they will never want to hear it

The moment they find out the truth on who's truly unhappy, the unhappy folks would have commit career su----e.

The system will limit their promotions, raise, they will be away from any leadership opportunities.

It's sad but that's how Fidelity operates.

Most individuals who get raise, bonus, promotions are "managers pets" or managers support their own kind.

They are "confidential."

They are not "anonymous."

I believe pulse survey asked for your a# so was never anonymous.

Besides Fido managers don't like honesty. If they sense you're unhappy, it will be easy for them to cut you off in next round of "silent lay offs".
