Safety Leadership Seminar

I thought the global safety leadership seminar was quite useless and a proper waste of time. Seems like a bunch of leaders listening to themselves talk and rehash over again. Anyone see anything different?

@bg fully agree with your statement. Full display of hubris at the end from a long-establised "leader" when he said "this is my favourite rap video".... No wonder our competitors laugh at us.

Not only was the content of the meeting not very compelling - but it was probably expensive to produce too. How many videos were created to be used during this? And then there was that weird music video at the end. They would have to pay for the video to be edited and pay extra for the royalty rights to the music. And then add in TWO HOURS of lost productivity for every single person who participated. This is why we are losing money. Leaders waste money on things that don’t make money. If this meeting would have an impact on improving safety then it would be worth it, but we all know it was just for appearance and a waste of time and money.

I agree it was useless. They don't talk about real issues because none of them know what the heck is going on in the real world.

any time the "losership" folks speak it is a waste of time. The point is for them to have an audience and spew canned lines.

I didn’t even call in. Figured it was an hour of my time that I’d never have back
