Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

WAEM Survey Closed

Good riddance. Now we wait for the flurry of activity to address the results which lasts for a couple of weeks and is then quickly forgotten until next year. What a waste of time. How about a WAEM job code to charge the time to. Pure cost with no benefit. The worst part is how they always put everything on supervisors as the problem.

Last year almost 20% of respondents complained about the PA process in the open text question about what they were doing to improve the culture. And here we are dealing with the same broken, hunger games system a year later. No change. No acknowledgment that it needs to change.

Zero substantial questions asked.

Zero actionable data collected.

For such a useless survey, management sure put a lot of effort into obtaining 100% response.

Should have asked relevant questions like:

“Do you support annual PIP layoffs?”

Do you feel forced ranking promotes teamwork?

Do you believe ranking based on performance or politics?

Do you support EM’s move to low cost/low quality 3rd world labor force?

Do you worry that you will be replaced with someone that EM will pay 1/8 your salary?

Do you believe that hotdesking and abandoning owned buildings showed Employees just how much Executives valued employees?

List more questions that should have been on the survey.
