@dv Im getting the impression that you think we are skilled. Nope. Im a dope and I work with many others. Most of these jobs are not very difficult to learn. Im sure that driving a bus in a city is relatively harder. This doesnt mean there isnt any work ethic on the associate side. Anyone without a chip on their shoulder (or an undying desire to earn a bonus) will tell you that in a company of this size, the customer and the employee are just a vessel for cash to shareholders, tyrants, and politicians. You know it.

I'm ready to go strike in front of Verizon wireless in our mall that sees maybe 100 people all day and 80 percent of those are either teens with no money or 80 year old mall workers who have no intention on every buying anything in the mall, they just use it as a free gym because they're too cheap to buy a membership to use a treadmill.
What I am hearing is to get your walking shoes ready. They want to have all calls go over seas. Plus, to contract out all line work. Have all line side to maintenance.
I have never seen the word "big" and "pay increase" used together at Verizon.
I think Chipotle/McDonalds gives associates better raises than skilled headcount at Verizon.
Management seems to act as though we are all oblidged to use verizon wireless fios etc. 26 years in the only thing that I have that is verizon is the fios I get for free since work from home. If you dont treat employees fairly we dont have to use the service or recommend family and freinds to use pretty simple. you dont deserve my hard earned money if you cant run the business correctly.
Verizon pays 5 dollars more a hour than a nyc bus driver

With all the contracting allowed, techs aren’t needed. All the calls that are being outsourced because employees refuse to return to the office, no need for call center representatives. Verizon has all the power to wipe out the union, there not needed. So all these dreams you think will be in the next contract are a far fetch. Just be happy with anything they give you, if anything at all.

Heard this today. 4 day work week done by seniority of course, so hi seniority gets a Friday, 2nd in line gets Monday, then pick 'ems on the rest.
It all depends on 1101 to do their job.
