Will leadership punish the ones who are truthful on the survey?

I told the truth and my peers gasped that my comments were so accurate. How much time before they place a bullseye on me?

@bt i can clearly recall taking a survey years ago. Nobody liked the LDP AM at the time (with good reason). The survey comments all came down the the AM level. and this ldp manager attempted to assign the comments to the members of the team - there were 4 of us. She even suggested to me, during a one v one, that i wrote a certain comment.(which i did not.. mine comments were worse).. anyway, the most vocal (in a constructive way) and senior member (also the most knowledgeable by far in wireless and this specific role) was terminated in less than 6 months. bottom line is that they are not supposed to target you.. lol... but they sure do.

I spoke out (not on a survey) tactfully, about my leadership team and was immediately targeted. HR refused to do anything, completely useless. I know they were probably on my side behind closed doors but wouldn’t admit it. I hope you’re safe after leaving your comments, but if not, good luck trying to fight it.

That’s depends on if you think being surplused is a punishment!

I have been told that when you bring up a problem in your comments, your immediate supervisor gets to come up with a "solution". This might be company wide or specific to the department I was in at the time.

On the contrary, they will read the most scathing ones out loud to their oil pals at the Dallas Country Club and all have a good laugh at the plebs over mimosas. Misery is the metric.

"getting personal"

So, if I answer, "The board should fire John Stankey" in response to the "1 Change" question at the end of the survey, would that be a personal attack?

Leadership punishes us all with their ridiculous RTO and occupancy policy.

First, I don't believe you are real, but in case you are...

There is no "bullseye". They cannot terminate you for providing critical feedback on a survey.

The only way the survey would result in that outcome would be if you were getting personal, threatening someone, etc. And then you'd deserve it anyway.

Either don't take it, or be professional and honest and let them have it.

You're afraid that you answered with accurate and honest information? This company is full of cowards. If you can't be honest about your opinion and fear your employer, then I truly feel sorry for you. Enjoy your life on your knees.

Finally, a real man in the bunch. I thought I was the only one. I don’t have much hope that the rest of them will ever experience life the way it was meant to be lived; free, unencumbered by fear. Their oppression is real as they chain themselves with their own minds. They’ve succumbed to the fantasy of kings and queens ruling over them in a make believe land of tyranny. It’s sad what T has done to them, but there is not enough pity to go around for self induced misery. Until they stand tall and walk fearless, they will forever be enslaved in their own minds. When one can no longer speak their mind and speak their truth, their whole life becomes a lie.

They want the negative answers, so you can say anything you want even though the results aren’t anonymous. The only thing that gets under their skin is if you ignore the surveys. Ambivalence really a seems to aggravate them for some reason.

A third party collects employee survey responses BUT there are two team members in HR that have full access and can provide your identity to your manager or chain of command. The reason for HR getting full access is to act when someone threatens harm, but they are also pulling data to find malcontents.

If you are truthful there’s nothing to fear. They made this bed. It’s literally your only chance to speak up. Let them know how bad it is otherwise it’ll only get worse.

The bullseye was placed the moment you clicked submit on the survey.

If you’re not going to answer truthfully, don’t respond at all.

We don’t need cowards lying and filling their heasss with bad ideas. You actually make me sick. Grow a spine.

They've always had. Not on the individual level, but on a site level, they do measure the malcontent levels to influence force adjustment measures.

These days, that might be superseded by economics involving real estate going off-lease.

I always answered the survey with positive responses, but not so obviously positive that the survey responses would look like a sham.

Absolutely !! Me and others pointed out that a member of our team was coming into the office plugging into the network and leaving his laptop for the day while he went and took care of his kids. Let’s just say, if you’re a favorite it’s acceptable behavior. The manager wouldn’t even have them review the tapes. They knew what they would find. You’re a fool to trust anyone.

You are confused about the purpose of the survey. They want to know how well their attrition strategy is working. The more disgruntled your answers, the better their strategy is working.
