Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

$7m to Korn Ferry, for what?

Believe it or not, there is a consultant named Korn Ferry that AT&T paid $7m to give “personality tests” to Director and above. Seven million. Seven million. Seven million. Then they recommended directors take LinkedIn Learning or T-University courses to because more aware of personality flaws and how to overcome. Seven million. Hysterical. Worth every penny. I gotta get a job at Korn Ferry…

Consultants are paid to tell justify whatever execs want to do and maybe put a little spin on it. Their goal is to get their younger staff into the company so that as those ex-employees get higher up, they give more business to the consultants.

McKinsey and their ilk like Korn Ferry are parasites.

@OP

That's what people never get @OP. There are a lot of "consultants" selling garbage to corporations, they do it for money, greed, but some folks believe it to be good and true when it's not....

It happens everywhere sadly.

Some of that content is specifically meant to put us ordinary workers (meaning, we are not part of the "executive suite") against each other.

The executives are so filled of ego that they also buy into concepts that makes them feel "such great human beings"....

If a program, course, system, method whatever garbage they come up with is designed or meant to divide and make us feel less than etc - don't buy into that.

Just my humble 2 cents...

Quite a few former T folks work at KF. I’m sure there’s a direct connection between former T employees at KF and why we used them. Friends at high levels help each other out in business.

Personality tests are administered for two reasons. Firing people in positions of leadership that don’t have the profile attributes of a leader, and when a company is being acquired and the interested party requires an inventory of the human assets to know who to keep and who to cull.

I would have told them for 7 bucks my L3 has no personality and should not be in charge of people.
