Umm, they’re working ALL orders that are “businesses”, voice lines or not…& they’re getting paid a lot more than wire techs to do so. Apparently T has more $ than they think since they continue down this path of DTs doing work that they have no business doing. Absolutely disgraceful that the Wire Techs continue to get hosed doing the same work for less $.

133 is not a small number with the shrinking work force. Expect to see more of this over next 5 years as copper network is decommissioned along with implementing more AI for support, sales positions.
Appears that the voluntary severance offers are working, not as many surplussed as expected. The largest number was due to technology displacement, the rest outside of Louisville, KY was due to economic.
