Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Will there be cuts before the end of June?

Wasn't there some talk about it a while ago?

@eg WRONG. They don't want managers at all anymore. They are not tied to revenue

Soon there will ONLY be Managers and Directors without anyone left to get the actual work done.

Imagine what happens then?

AI is still the top g-n, getting things done with 30% less resources. Kudos to Jeetu 🚀

what about the rumors on implementing management level compression like Amazon did or is doing? I found that would be extremely hard for CISCO to actually implement because:

(1) a lot of those small teams that you do not need an extra manager are managed by the relatives/friends of the Sr Dir/VP.

(2) if they merged and let those "incompetent" folks have to do the real management work (of course, get rid of manages with no connections), those people would be exposed and VPs will have problems. I am pretty sure they knew those people (their friends/relatives) were no good but they have been hiding them...

There were some cuts at the end of May. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did more just to twist the kn--e a little deeper.
