Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Music options at work

I need background music when I work, read, study... anything productive. My cubicle has no mobile internet service, so I can't stream to my phone. I have been using YouTube, but, as of today, that is now blocked by CSO. Spotify does not work on company devices either. Anyone have suggestions they are using?

Put music on our personal phone. Not streaming, actual files.

Really? You are worried about your music at work? GTFO and do it sooner than later.
Thousands of employees are getting the shaft at AT&T, up ending their life, and you took the time to complain about music.
You are either a company toll or a perfect example of why the company needs to tidy up.

If someone who works for a technology company can't figure out how to solve this, they should consider a new line of work. This is not a difficult problem to solve.

Use your personal phone. If for some reason you can't get service, purchase a phone from another provider network (Verizon or T mobile) then surf the internet or use a hotspot from the other phone and then you will also have a backup/emergency phone.

Ie US Mobile

Use a better cell service provider. Verizon works fine indoors.

Bring in an old school ghetto blaster & hook some (foam covered) headphones into it.

I have used radio station's online streams on my work computer for the 10 years I have been with the company.

Windows have a metal treatment to block RF signals from computer equipment and monitor cable from disturbing locals. If your laptop has a CD player, I bought used for $1-2s from half price books & garage sales. An inexpensive portable player was available for $14.95 when my laptop was upgraded two years ago. Did not heck current price. Or use a flash drive for songs as advised by others.

What is your location? don't stream. Others have been surplussed for personal use of company equipment. No severance.

Start singing loudly and poorly until they send you home for a COBC violation.

Dial in radio Bangalore for some Carnatic or instrumental for the sitar, tabla, Vienna and sarod. Hey and pass the curry.

Use your personal device and subscribe to Spotify, YouTube music, or any other service that allows you to download playlists to your device. Download playlists while at home or on the road. Profit from a more productive day 😁.

You can use the Spotify Premium offline feature with the iPhone app too (no need for a new mp3 player). Use it on planes too.

I provide music for my ATL coworkers in the afternoon a couple times each week eating chili with a lot of beans.

Mighty Vibe, Sony Walkman (Select Models, e.g., NW-A105), Luoran M4 Pro MP3 Player

One of these with Spotify Premium, you can download playlists for offline use
