Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Silent "impacts"

Everyone knows how Fidelity has done its absolute best to make lives miserable for the associates.

BUT, it's reaching a point where no one at least in our team is able to handle.

We went through 3 leadership changes, two major RIFs including Impact of losing Dalian folks

And now one at a time, they are eliminating positions of associates because it's being moved to Boston from Westlake.

Fidelity is sitting on a ticking time bo-b of this behavior turning into global news if they don't stop this BS.

Pretty much entire team we have is new and it seems we are heading towards yet another round of RIFs in Fall.

The entire wealth platform is rotten to its core with individuals playing favorites while dictating terms on who loses their position and who should be asked to uproot their lives to do cross country move in a state they hav never even visited

I do not think it’s on purpose. The true problem is that there is no strategic vision. Everything is “test and learn” as if the entire company is Fidelity Labs.

So much apathy because everyone knows no decision is final.

I left. I didn’t ever feel there was authentic communication from leadership because they were just doing what they had to do.

It was a sad disappointment.
