Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Toxicity follows here

I left a toxic manager after feeling stuck and joined another team.

What happened next? The toxic manager I left has completely sidelined me using her influence.

I am now left with no one reaching out to me from my previous team, nor am I being added to any meeting discussions in the new team.

This has left me worried, fidelity is at its peak now with playing favorites with individuals from one specific region.

Just wanted to add that I felt my experience was pretty similar.

It takes a lot of strength to step away from a toxic situation, only to face more challenges rooted in internal politics and favoritism.

Welcome to Fidelity! Incompetence abounds in management

This is the very reason why no one wants to work here.

You do your job to the best of your abilities and contribute way more than your KPI's.

But when the time comes for recognition, excellence awards, these managers, chapter leads, GCLs will only favor their own kind, a.k.a teacher's pets.

Never been part of an organization where such blatant discrimination is rampant, yet whoever new CIO they appoint doesn't seem to change a damn thing about this.

The specific region seems to be a common theme on layoffs dot com.
