@jt your understanding is wrong. Telecommuters are not yet included. Regardless of location.

it's my understanding only those who are MN or DC telecommuters and their managers received the communication. i'm wondering why they haven't sent out a mass communication to all employees to stop the rumor mill. all employees are affected by this decision one way or another and this approach would be more transparent, yeah?

Ford calls majority of workforce into the office four days a week

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-ford-calls-majority-workforce-165033411.html

“Many of our employees have been in the office three or more days per week for some time now. We believe working together in person on a day-to-day basis will help accelerate Ford’s transformation into a higher growth, higher margin, less cyclical and more dynamic company," a Ford spokesperson said in a statement in response to a Reuters query.

Replace [Ford] with any stodgy old-man-run horse and buggy industry company and it works. When folks worry about the NWO at Davos, this is the kind of stuff they talk about and use the same talking points.

Downtowns are dying across USA. Commercial real estate (i.e. empty office towers) is cratering. If they can't get people back in offices, the regional banks holding the loans on these vacant buildings will collapse and the whole economic house of cards might crumble.
A layoff might be the least of our concerns 😵
