Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Corporate Affairs

Post for Corporate Affairs employees: let's break down this week’s Town Hall…

LL is all about self promotion, doesn’t understand our business and has appointed only those with the worst ethics to the team around her. Any decent hard working people left. Those still here can’t deliver a work product if their life depended on it. They just take credit for the work of others. If these are the people in charge of our reputation now, we’re doomed even more so than before.

@as That tall drink of water has a doctorate in duplicity. He knows the inside, managing up, skeevy, internal politics game better than Lady MacBeth.

@za let’s be real. If LL didn’t travel to meet our people and learn about our assets you would have complained that she stayed in Houston too much and couldn’t manage the jet lag and chaotic schedules meeting hundreds of her employees.

@hn correction, most CA people were inspired by LL on paper but she has shown her true colors with the people she surrounded herself with in this reorg. Don’t forget her self promoted personal branding tour. Now it’s clear she is no better than those that came before her. She fits right in. Sadly she missed an opportunity to make real change in CA.

@as exactly. Should we be worried about LL being influenced by MC so heavily that she didn’t know that she was being played with the new org appointments? Or maybe she is no better than the ones she is surrounding herself with. People who will do anything to get ahead. Integrity in CA is dead.

@OP Are you even in CA? Most CA people are overjoyed about the opportunity to have a leader who has deep expertise in our function AND who is a lovely person. If that doesn’t inspire you to support our leaders and do great things together, I’ll help you with your resume if you really are in CA.

Can we also talk about all the secret backroom deals about the leaders that get to stay in California for extended time while others have been told they are required to move next year? They can re-org all they want and appoint some new leaders, but it is the same old Chevron with different rules for the chosen ones.

@ab no surprise at all. Curious about external stakeholder concerns. She definitely enjoys the visiting execs in town if you know what I mean.

Can’t believe JW was promoted to GM of GA in Austin. She is a walking HR disaster. Multiple internal investigations, low employee scores, harasses her staff, external stakeholder concerns, is completely irrational and unhinged. If that’s the caliber of staff that LL is looking to keep, we’re cooked.
