Nobody is at the helm of this ship! What the heck is going on? We have like 5 VDI solutions and absolutely no clear messaging as to what our future is. Today it’s mass confusion because WAVE is going away and laptops are coming back. Of course, instructions are vague, syncing doesn’t work, apps not installed. Nobody is testing this s$%t. Very bad decision making. Please do the needful and let LB go!

Cloud pc is fancy calculator to make less productive. Evil strategy
I got an exception - what a disaster WAVE and cloud PC was. This company love to burn money
Run away from cloud pc. RUN AWAY
Or better yet, make IT execs use it
And then it will have the proper execution it deserves.
That’s because most of the engineers from that LOB were let go two months ago. They hardly have anyone there anymore
Where is risk on this debacle?
so can we throw away the hub/thin clients they installed at all our desks?
When is VDI going away? I hate it!
@a3+1jyqgfws4 Way to miss the point of @OP.
Wells does make some amazingly poor, Fall Forward choices. But whatever, not my circus, not my monkeys. It’s all just work. I don’t get why people get all worked up over choices they can’t control. Work with the tools you’re given, done.
What is VDI? Venereal disease indicated? Sounds like tech offshoring is going smoothly.
While the "performance" of my CloudPC is variable (some days it's very slow), it's significantly faster than the trash hardware I'm issued to access it. I wouldn't want to try running apps on this laptop anymore because the amount of security bloat on it has destroyed its ability to do anything other than act as a terminal.
I don't trust the remaining IT staff to engineer, and support, a functional managed corporate desktop platform.
It's only getting worse. Daily. Complete sh-tshow.
Corporations exist to make money. If there is something that inhibits your productivity, make a business justification to get an exception. Exceptions happen because blanket processes don’t always work for everyone nor are they always in the best interest of the business.
Happy to be going off vdi. Very happy.
@a3 well are you just so special!? So the answer was….nit following process. It sure is the Wells way after all!
Should have bugged your +2 manager to give you an exemption.
I have never had to use WAVE or any other VDI.
