Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Did your employer put you on a corrective action plan (CAP)

If you have you been placed on a corrective action plan (CAP) and you have never had performance problems in the past,
the company is trying to fire you to avoid paying you a severance and the 60 days notice the employer is required to
pay under the Federal WARN and State WARN Acts

Don't tolerate this type of abusive behavior. You must respond to the allegations in the CAP, in writing, with a copy to
your human resources professional. Depending on your situation, you might also file a complaint with your states
employment descrimination agency and the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

If your placed on a CAP you can file an IDR through HR direct within 10 days. If they find that you were placed on a CAP without reason they will remove it from your record

You are entitled to your personnel records. Using your company's intranet site, you should be able to locate the policy on requesting personnel records. You can also search something like this in any search engine: Minnesota law personnel records.

We recommend you request your personnel records now. That way, if the employer adds anything to the records after they notify you about a layoff, you can challenge them.
If you are not comfortable requesting your records now, you may request them once you are laid off.

It's a way to avoid unemployment "insurance" payouts. Very USian.
You teach people how to treat you and those people learn very quickly. For example: are you the employee who comes in early, stays late, covers for your teammates, gives up your weekends, runs around like a crazy person? Well, your fellow teammates have observed this and will let you pick up all the slack while they coast. You know who else notices? Your manager. They will now assign you more widgets because you're the only one worrying yourself sick about getting them done. If you think for one minute that you should keep giving your soul to the company you work for, hoping that one day they will approach you and say " My gosh, we are so very sorry we have let you ki-l yourself working so hard for us without being fairly rewarded, here is a raise, bonus and retroactive pay", if you're thinking that will happen, get your head examined quickly and see a psychiatrist please. Thank you.

That's just wrong. Report that to your state's Department of Labor.
