@d0 that is a an accountant's mentality not an entrepreneurs mentality. People who are properly motivated and feel a sense of ownership in the company will work twice as hard to get things done as someone who is just doing their job

That's true, but RTO and expanding the presence in NYC and other overpriced markets does neither of those things.
Companies exist for shareholder returns and to maximize profits. Your career and livelihood are not on the radar. Cutting jobs and costs to increase profit will always be the priority. Happy and productive employees are a means to an end, not the goal.
