If you heard latest talk from Abby, she really wants people to come "together" literally to brainstorm, a.k.a all teams at one office site.

A lot of level 5, 6 is what I have been hearing asked to relocate.
A teammate of mine who moved from boston to Westlake is now being asked to relocate the NC.
I am at level 7 and I was told last week my position is being relocated to NC from Smithfield.
Why would you move some positions to NC and ask some to relocate to Westlake, how in the fu--ing world does it make sense???

Also heard some level 8,9 managers asked to relocate to Westlake.

I have until end of Aug to find a new role within fidelity.

So yes, there will be round of cuts in fall. Pathetic tactic from Facebook fidelity

With billions of easy profit, Fidelity will be just fine no matter how you run it. I'd challenge Abby to challenge herself to run Fidelity as an efficient and happy company.

To that end, Start with severely trimming the middle management (people, product, architecture) which will make the low rungs happy. With good (people, tech, product, architectural) leaders in place, manage out the underperformers in the low rungs and replace them with fresh blood. This way, the whole company will be happy.

When should we expect layoffs, i don't want to quit if i can get a severance.

Not only jobs are moved to India but folks are transffered from India to the US to take the jobs here.

Close all these US positions and move jobs to India .

Unbelievable that multiple people are saying they have until the end of August. It would take that long to land a role and get into it even if it was posted now and you were the top candidate and had a in. They should know that.

Really bizarre things going on. I'd love to know more about the rationale behind these decisions. Alas, they are probably made at a very high level and we'll never know.
