Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Stuck, underpaid, and over it

No raise. No shot at moving up. So now I'm doing the bare minimum while I hunt for something better. They get what they pay for.

And you wonder why they make people come back to office.

Fidelity will get what they ask for. People will find new jobs, retire, move and they will be stuck with no talent and much deserved. What a shame that Ned built this company one person at a time and his d i c k slinging daughter has ruined it. Sorry Ned, you did good but your daughter is not you, that is for sure.

Yes, you are all correct. This place has turned into a blue-collar sweatshop. Lay me off. Hurry.
Upper management is clueless.

Happened to me too. I ended up enjoying my time during the day. Went to the gym and worked on my health, both mental and physical. A good nap during the wfh days. I handed off the hard stuff to the folks above my level. If you put in 20 hrs of work for a 40 hr workweek, you actually just doubled your pay yourself. No manager necessary! Just retired less than a year ago. Life is good and it's not all about what money you make or what 'level' you achieve during the workday. That stuff is way overrated.
