Lack of strategic thinking

Been here a few years now and still trying to figure out if there's an actual long-term plan or if we're all just winging it. My old job had issues but at least leadership had some kind of roadmap. This place feels like it's always reacting, never leading.

Yep, still finding our way. Must be a big picture plan out there and somewhere for the sake of the shareholders

In the last 20 years, lack of strategic thinking is THE defining characteristic for most of our execs. Ever spend time talking to any of them? Shallowness and narrowness of thought is an embarrassment for the insane $$$ they grift from the biz.

The strategic plan has only 4 line items: Guyana, Permian, HC10 PIPs, AI (another indian). Nothing else matters

There is not clear strategic leadership. DW and the management committee believe that ‘cost cutting’ is a strategy while most of know that this is a tactic, with no associated strategic vision.
