So what is the process when you're told you are NSI and you decide to take a PIL? Do they just immediately walk you out the door after you sign whatever it is they want you to sign? I'm expecting the worst, but no official communication yet and I've already made up my mind to leave.

How long do you have to stay away to come back as a consultant?
Interesting clauses:
- you will never apply to EM again.
- any claims or lawsuits must be filed in tejas courts.
- any idea of 'age-related' targeting is forgotten.
- you acknowledge your incompetence
- you were treated respectfully and professionally throughout your employment as a human resource.
- and so on.

Never sign anything related to dismissal without getting a lawyer to review it!
Let people know why you’re leaving. Otherwise the narrative becomes that you resigned on your own accord when your departure is communicated to the team.
Watch what you sign there are some interesting clauses in the agreement. If you don't sign you don't get the 3 months pay.
Take the entire time to make the decision. Then you click the PIL button in within 1-2 days your done. Laptop and badge taken, a quick handover, you get to smile and say “peace” to your manager and you’re out. Three months pay after that. Easy. Don’t fret, you will be fine.
