Run as fast as you can from the Technical Path

It couldn't be clearer that the technical path, if there ever was one, is dead. Run as fast as you can away from the technical path. It is the fast track to PIP and low rankings.

I would argue that any technical/skilled job here is the only safe job longterm. Any job that can be done using a computer will be replaced with AI and India. It’s pretty hard to replace people that actually work that can’t be easily replaced.

In spite of false claims made in prior years there never was a technical ladder. Now they don’t even try to pretend there is one

It's all a big toilet and we are all going down. Some can hold on like pieces stuck to the rim but eventually we will all go down the drain. I am nearing the bottom in a couple of years and ready to go. Supposedly there is some work at emhc from Clinton that is being looked at for me. I might retire before or get piped instead of moving to emhc. I am basically doing nothing right now and waiting for my move to the campus. This may all just be a game to drop my ranking and get me out.

Global Projects here. I disagree. We need the engineers around to fill the bottom of the rank group so us real execution heros can get the ranking we deserve.

Those damn engineers are always in the way of us global projects people who do the real work. We would be so much better off if we just went from concept selection to execution and skipped right over FEED and detailed design. We don't need engineers telling us what to build. We can just wing it!
