Layoffs w/out the headlines

I’m not sure why layoffs are still being discussed. When EM wants to reduce headcount, they often rely on PIPs instead.

Most folks see a PIP as a master signal to leave, knowing it’s unlikely to be reversed, + those who stay typically end up being let go.

PIPs have shifted from being a performance management tool to an alternative method for managing workforce reductions.

The site should be called exxonmobil corp NSI or PIPs. It is the same s heet just different color. Reduction of older high paid employees and replacement with lower paid employees , contractor or indian workers.

As Gomer Pyle would say, Suprise, Suprise.” Of course it’s a tool to layoff. It’s very unethical and reflects on the company you work for.

Trying to smother the situation, sounds like a kiss@ss for me. We know that specific method is used to avoid to pay money if the people will be layoff.
