Getting laid off was actually a blessing. At my new company i received a promotion, better pay, a bigger office, and something L3Harris never showed me……respect.

L3 and Harris were better as individual companies, the 2 cultures are toxic
I am so glad that I left that toxic environment. Worked there for 30 years. The last 5 years was pure he-l with all the changes. Get out while you can. There are more lay offs coming down the pipe. Once the CEO has the company financials on the plus side, laid off all the 55+ employees (talent) and the stocks are soaring. Mark my words, L3Harris will be up for sale. Who knows it may be a blessing or another nightmare. Good luck.
@c9 they have been reaching out to people who were laid off in April 2024 and asking them to come back! They are even contacting retirees to consider working part time . I guess nobody on site knows what they're doing.
@1mv desperate? They are beyond desperate. But you know who is even more desperate? Somebody who goes crawling back after being laid off after nearly 40 years of service. To be unceremoniously walked out in 2024, april, only to go crawling back this month for less money. It reinforces one fact, L3 is for losers.
@c9 They must be desperate as he-l to be reaching out to retired technicians to come back on a "per diem" basis. Since they drove most of us into early retirement with their ridiculous micromanagement, they've got a big pair of ba--s asking any of us to come back. Even for the money they're offering.
We'll be outside smoking cigars when they blow the columns in the parking garage and implode that ugly beige building into rubble.
@c9
Last month, space and airborne systems stopped all requisitions for new hires outside the company. The only openings available can be accessed by posting internally.

Melbourne has been wanting to move that whole operation to Florida for a long time. Most of us are convinced Melbourne deliberately sabotaged Clifton. No management could be this bad by accident . 51
I was laid off, and I am about to land a job with a better title and pay. It's a promotion with a bonus of up to 20% plus equity. Should I post this on LinkedIn and let my managers know? Or lay low and let them wonder what I am doing? Since the layoff of my direct manager, she has been checking my LinkedIn profile weekly, wondering what job I will get.
L3 will remain in layoff mode until this company is sold or the board steps in and lays off the CEO and his team.
The Clifton site is bleeding experienced people every week. There are very few experienced people left that can process and sell off hardware. Clifton is in a very sad and desperate situation.
Read that carefully. Respect. Something the L3H leadership is berift of. A leadership that from day one has underestimated the complexity of the work and the skill set needed to do it. A smug, condescending attitude towards employees. Micromanaging from a thousand miles away by people who don't have a clue.
Don't wait to get laid off. Bless yourself with a new job.
In its current form, L3H is a sh-t company with no redeeming qualities.
