VP JD VANCE WARNING H1B VISAS

He talked about Microsoft, but it's all big tech anyway. Folks, please read below!!!!!!

Vice President JD Vance launched a withering critique of Microsoft on Wednesday, accusing the tech giant of letting go of American workers while relying heavily on immigrant labor through the H-1B visa program.

Speaking at a bipartisan event co-hosted by the Hill and Valley Forum, Vance questioned the ethics and economic logic behind mass layoffs followed by increased applications for employment-based visas.

"You see some big tech companies where they'll lay off 9,000 workers, and then they'll apply for a bunch of overseas visas. And I sort of wonder; that doesn't totally make sense to me.

"That displacement and that math worries me a bit. And what the president has said, he said very clearly: We want the very best and the brightest to make America their home. We want them to build great companies and so forth. But I don't want companies to fire 9,000 American workers and then to go and say, 'We can't find workers here in America.' That's a bullsh-t story."

There's too many Indians in tech who do sh-t work. H-1B hires should be limited to a single digit percentage of the workforce.

Each layoff affects a family—citizen or not.

Disclaimer: I left my job in England and moved to the U.S. with my family on an H-1B visa 20 years ago. The company closed a few months later. We had 30 days to leave or find new work. I joined Samsung, later became a U.S. citizen.

I'm German, worked in England, Japan, and now the U.S. because I believed I could make a difference here. We left family and friends behind. I never did it for the money.

You can say “go home,” but home is what we build through our work.

Trump and Vance only care about the stock market performance because trillions of dollars from pension funds/retirement accounts invested depend on it; even if it means replacing Americans with cheaper, younger Indians ; this is just business

Exactly… Vance is not going to do anything against the H1b program. 90% is H1b visa are issued to Indians.

I'll believe Vance and Trump care about visa workers when Trump gets rid of all his visa workers at Mar-A-Lago and golf courses.

Folks, look at what they do, not what they say. Trump and Vance lie as easy as they breath.

JD and many in DC know this is game. JD went overseas and did some other deals and now trying to look good infront of voters.

Crypto law passed in 3 weeks but nothing on temp work visa like ( H1b/ h4/l1/l2/opt/cpt/tn/asylum etc..) although ) months passed.

There are very simple solution which fix all issues.

  1. Change employer- employee definition which current administration know very well as they are the one who published similar law in Oct 2020 just before election but nothing now
  2. Change wage based lottery with only one lottery. Not endless rounds and keep selecting lower and lower wages folks. Why nothing done until this years lottery result out and next day just submit rule which is lengthy process. Why not postponed this years lottery or cancel altogether as it’s in president’s hand with simple executive order only says all.
  3. Why OPT/ CPT / H4/ L2 not revoked. Supreme Court already removed chevron means this is created via fake order not by law so it just require simple executive order only. Why not done anything yet on that side says all.
  4. At least 20 different L1/ TN bills proposed in both senate and house which makes those two visa either go away or being behind strict wage requirement rule. Nothing done on that says it all.
  1. Big beautiful bill is mainly for tax and cost. Why not single democrats or GOP propose bill to tax companies who have more than 5pct world force in same division offshore or flat 5 pct revenue tax if u have any offshore member whose work can be performed on US soil.

This is all by design . Just making people fool . It’s like Elephant teeth. Showing is different and eating is different.

I am also not a Trump supporter, but Vance is right here. If IBM execs want to hire so many people in India due to low costs, then IBM should move headquarters to India and be banned from doing business in the USA. Having worked as a customer of IBM and as an employee of IBM, I can tell you the development and support in India when I was a customer was subpar. I spent many long nights babysitting offshore developers whom we were paying.

@ad great idea - maybe there should be a snail mail address and an email address to send comments to the US justice Department about IBM employee abuse.
Someone needs to investigate abuse and corruption at IBM ; Business rules are not followed nor Business ethics. IBM Business Conduct Guidelines don't apply to senior executives and incidents of retaliation continue. Nothing happens to executives but the victim leaves IBM, and executives continue their reign of bullying and worse.

It's probably too late for most Americans who have been abused by the crooks and thieves in IBM Management. IBM Management ruthlessly terminated hundreds of thousands of working Americans and moved their jobs to India, China and East Europe on some pretext or the other. Wish there was a class action suit against IBM to remedy this shameful activity brought to the company by Sam Palmisano, Ginny Rometty and Alvind Klishna and their HR VPs. McKinsey Consulting needs to be held accountable too. Can you say outsourcing is nothing but a bad taste in everyone's mouth these days ??

I don't support Trump or Vance, but I give credit where credit is due. Vance is 100% right when he says you can't fire thousands of Americans, hire thousands in India to replace them, and then complain you can't find qualified Americans. The H1B program is being abused. Indian offshoring is being abused. IBM is one of the BIGGEST OFFENDERS. It has to stop now.
