Wow, almost a mirror image of my career
41 years! Took my pension, 401K rolled it over into Fidelity IRA, do-g well!
I miss my work. I loved my work, but, in 41 years, ATT dive bombed.
I do recommend ATT to young ppl to get started in life. Great company to learn. Take as many certification courses as possible and look! ATT is not a 40 year career any more.

Yes, and held on to it till 2020 when I volunteered for a layoff. Had a whole library of manuals from all of my 41 years. Why? I asked the same question as I recycled the whole lot hoping they make TP out of them!! Also dumped my stock, lump summed the pension and passed on the "OMG Fabulous" Medicare Advantage Plan too. T Free baby!!!

I have a good feeling that you will soon have more time to ki-l in the very near future.
Your soon involuntary departure, and savings of your salary will help pay for the "Union Slugs" medical benefits in retirement.
I want to thank you for your sacrifice.

I think any relevant job aids died when Randy "the accountant" slinked into the CEO position. 5 nines (99.999) reliability of up time with the network was something we were proud of. We had pride in providing that.
