With the relocation

I will be moving to smithfield in the next month, if the COLA in my current area is lower than smithfield would I get a COLA adjustment to my salary or would I need to wait until annual raise

They don’t call it cola in RI. It’s tonic.

I do hope the move works out for you. But I’d advise people away from SMT. 900 is way too crowded, it wasn’t meant to be at full capacity at all times. Not enough bathroom facilities etc to serve full staffing. Get ready to use whatever break time or off phone time your alloted by wandering around for vacant bathrooms. Oh - and it takes about 30 mins just to get off the campus if you dare leave on time at the end of your shift.

Don't move. Never ever move for a "job". I've personally witnessed many co-workers over the years get relocated and then laid off less than a year later. At will employment is the law and the lay of the land. NEVER trust your employer to keep you employed.

HR seems to enjoy playing musical chair with associates so on top of feeling unappreciated, not valued, they get to also feel miserable due to this colocation push.
