Has anyone heard of any reason that is even remotely defensible for why the Permian Premium hasn't returned to 20%? Why was 20% justifiable two years ago but only 10% is justifiable now? What has changed?

@3szv+1k1T5YD7. Not in my experience.
Bruh...gotta be honest. Most of the BTC folks are more intelligent than the typical Permian bros from awesome universities like Texas Tech and Texas A&M.
If I hear the word BTC one more time I will VOMIT! Useless POS's!!
The company is content using contractors and bringing in more from BTC who will work for pennies on the dollar. Once the current backlog of US visa is cleared watch for the increased numbers.
Current VP is still searching for silver bullets.
Wrong. S&D cant find anywhere near enough people to meet demand. You are getting bad information. You willing to come for 10%? If so please let S&D know because help is needed. The place is filling up with contractors and a few employees with zero experience straight out of college.
Because they can as long as people continue taking assignments.
Supply and demand. Employees are still taking assignments there, so it must be high enough.
I have to go with former VP was better than the current VP. I can't think of any logical reason why it isn't 20%. Cost of living, poor schools, poor healthcare, long work hours, dangerous roads, risk of injury or death, higher attrition than ever seen before, fewer things to do when not working, and on and on and on compared to living in Houston.
They seem to think the hamster wheel contractor hiring frenzy we are in to try keep up with all the resignations is working. They are so far removed they don't realize that most of the contractors we are hiring now are clueless and don't come close to performing as well as the people who are resigning. Not a dig at the contractors just recognition that it takes a while to learn a new job and when everyone on the team is trying to learn a new job there is noone experienced to learn from. I don't know if executives don't know or just don't care.
