About relocation posts

Understand the pattern.

If you're not in a location where majority of your team is, be wary if:

  1. A new team member joins your team in a location where majority of the team / your manager is.
  1. That team member immediately starts talking to you, get into your day-to-day activities.
  1. The team member suddenly starts "shadowing your work", keeps nagging you to involve them into initiatives YOU WERE LEADING, DOING etc...
  1. Starts putting their "stamp / signature" into everything you are doing .

Then you are not far from being told "Sorry your position is being moved to XYZ"

Fidelity managers make sure they have your replacements in place before giving you the boot.

If you are recently experiencing above, it's time to reengage with your contacts, brush up your resume, get a headstart and look for a change.

Usually they just let a critical person go and they have no idea that the person had all the knowledge. Then they try to hire more people to come up to speed but the knowledge already walked out the door.
