Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Does Verizon pay for relo?

I’ve been looking into posting across the org and 99% of them state that relocation assistance is not provided what’s up with that?

In the past, I have seen it work both ways; for band 7V.

  • It was $10,000.00 paid by Verizon.

  • Turned it down, once; houses were much higher to the relocation place.

That is only available for 5V, 4V and 3V....the rest of us, you're on your own

They want people to quit. They don’t want to pay relo or severance. It’s no longer an employee centered environment. They don’t care about us and haven’t for years now.

It's negotiable. It isn't much for lower bands but if you are a standout choice it happens.

I have not seen relo for anything less than a 5V job (Director, now Senior Director)

Simple, it means that you have to relocate on your own.
