Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What’s the point of the survey, really?

Nothing we say will be taken seriously because they actually want to get rid of as many of us as possible. The top brass would rather we just quit - it’s cheaper that way. If anything, we might as well give them ideas on how to make this job even more unbearable and unmanageable, along with tips on how to make the culture worse so we all run for the exits.

My mother always said, if you don’t have anything nice to say then be quiet. The majority of those of who didn’t take the survey are speaking loudly but in this case they should have expressed their concerns, opinions and suggestions.

"The survey is tracked for employee compliance. Completion is an unofficial metric used in layoffs."

If this were true I would have been involuntarily severed from the company years ago. I have never taken a survey.

Let’s make a pact… no one participate next year. Big beautiful zero. Force him to report that number to the Board.

Think of it as therapeutic. It is like writing that first email draft to some b@st@rd that pi---d you off before you edit it for public distribution and consumption. The survey is that first draft of the email that you actually get to send.

Agreed -- This will be the last survey I participate in while this C-suite is in place.
