Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Any update on alleged Dallas office intruder

Does anyone have any information about a possible hostile intrusion and subsequent lockdown in AT&T Dallas corp office bldg. several weeks ago? Haven’t seen anything about it other than being assigned hostile intruder training in PLE. I know via other’s post that it caused a lot of anxiety, panic and upset employees with the response during the event, haven’t seen any follow up across company comms.

All I know is that I was safe. False alarm but all security protecting 4th and 5th floors at HQ. The riff-raff were hiding in storage closets, but honestly who cares. I was safe.

@am “many employees support John”

It’s so nice to hear from the nepo baby posting in support of her father.

And the board… Please, they are all puppets and that stank master is pulling the strings.

In-office hours doesn’t matter offshore, hear kids and animals in the background on calls. All about the $$ saved. Wouldn’t the company save more if the exec’s were offshored?

Stankey said, quit whining and get back to work. Don’t let a little thing like an active sho-ter alarm stop you because he is locked down and protected on the exec floor. Take one for the team, be a team player.

The recent email response from the CEO Stankey related to the employee survey didn’t endear him to anyone. Not surprised that confrontation hasn’t happened before due to a pattern of a lack of respect for employees. He has already denigrated senior employees in town halls and stated many times to basically quit if you don’t like his rto/relocation policies. Can one say, Tone Deaf 🧏‍♂️ Employees didn’t make all the disastrous business decisions but he won’t own it and wants to place blame elsewhere while eliminating or reducing benefits and continual layoffs.

The older post was on June 24th, appears it was a cluster when the active sho-ter alarm went off in the 1 Bell building at HC. Funny that HQ has these alarms but everyone else is on their own. Haven’t heard any updates either which makes me think it may have been a false alarm but they should still communicate that to everyone.

It’s also an opportunity to retrain everyone on the security plans for various situations. A lot of mental health issues with work, politics and other society ills these days. 24/7 access to multimedia has caused unnecessary stress and anxiety for a lot of people and some become unhinged with all the vitriol.
