Latest round

Does anyone know anything about the latest round? I guess there aren’t that many people now that it isn’t even being discussed here

I remember 2 years ago when all services consultants were transferred to HCL during the summer. In a meeting, they complained: "Why are we dismissed when we are currently working on projects and making money ?"
The answer was "You are not dismissed, you are externalized. And this is a great opportunity for you !".

What I learned is that making revenue and/or delivering services in a customer-face job is not a guarantee of keeping the job. And also to never trust anything from the management. Pretending that you have to quit for your own good ? Expecting that we eat that bullsh-t ? Really ?

Yes, the mass layoffs are probably behind, but there has been and will still be layoffs in the summer, when people are back from holidays. Q4 is the important quarter and it has to be prepared starting in September.

And I wonder if some recent news like
https://www.reuters.com/business/retail-consumer/amazon-web-services-provide-us-government-agencies-with-up-1-billion-savings-2025-08-07/
may impact CSG. Will that do that some big accounts migrate to the Cloud subsequently ?
Don't know, but if the management thinks so, then... be prepared.

The company's had a big layoff every year in the second week of January. No reason to think that won't continue. So, in about 5 months...

Heard of a few being let go here and there. 851 is starting to feel like ghost town. Its getting harder to find about about publicly now. They're past the mass layoffs it seems. But the sinister ba----ds are picking off a few at a time. That way they don't endure any publicity. Such a horrible culture. Always wondering when your "date" will be. So toxic. It is so sad what has happened to this once great company.

Who cares at this point? Layoffs are part of the business plan. They will keep coming until the company vanishes.

AOP is starting for next year. They need to decide where to cut next in addition to no raises and cutting benefits. All the reqs will be frozen shortly and cuts will be decided by November.

Expect another 10-20% this cycle as nothing is improving. It’s actually getting worse unfortunately.
