What is the real reason OT is taken away? In my many years of working at HW, we have never been to told to get OT approvals by the PM or OPL. Seems strange they roll this out during a time that everything is urgent and OT is needed to work the multiple tasks.

@dy have a program at my site that this is exactly what they would do. Come in saturday AND sunday and do nothing while signed on to a job. Went on for years and then PMs were surprised that was why they had no money.
It's always about cost to serve. People are FTE's and mean absolutely nothing to the company.
Veterans are exempt from this new NO OT policy.

It’s due to abuse
It is due to cost cutting when expenses are high and revenue is down. Nothing new. Next stepś are furloughs or layoffs. Happeŋed many times and will always happen.
