Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I am confused

What does market based means for those people who were not forced to relocate yet but not in market designation? Should we settle down in our home town or move to hub? I just don’t understand.

Likewise. It’s part & parcel of the “Great Reset” pushed by the global “elite”. They’ve been whittling down the middle class for quite some time. Now they’re preparing the coup de gras.

@OP
We’ve concluded that his whole email was AI generated and the market based grid nonsense was an AI hallucination.

Amazon as “control and stability”? Huh?

Market based means an environment where people compete against one another for financial reward. However, there are no financial rewards. Competing does not foster collaboration nor "Win as One" mentality. His note was a word salad.

In the eternal battle between labor and capital, capital has been and continues to be winning. American labor has been downsized, rightsized, offshored, multi-tasked, synergized and otherwise beaten to a pulp. We are about to be AI-ed. The middle class has been kept afloat by multiple jobs &/or multiple wage earners per family and cheap stuff from China. Stankey is just saying the quiet part out loud. AT&T which used to be relied on to support a middle class existence, is now just one more dancer in the dystopian conga line of the US economy. I fear for my kids, my grandkids and my country.

"Market based" is Stankey-speak for "I don't know what the heck I'm doing". A wise old uncle of mine used to say, "If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bull**".

Market based is not a reference to geography. He is talking about the competitive market.

Market based means the gig economy.
No longterm employment. They will hire for a need and then let you go once that need is gone.
This will be the future for all companies. I feel for all future employees because employment will be short-term with zero security, benefits or progression.
It amazes me that most parents have no idea about this, and therefore, neither do their college age kids.
