Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Bloomington MN Closing ASAP

I saw the following post on this site a few weeks ago and wondered who or what group in Dallas was talking about this -because the same talk has been going around here in Atlanta regarding Bloomington. Sounds like the company has a way out of the costly lease there and the so called watermark is irrelevant now. Most work done there is being automated and off-shored.

"Talk here in Dallas going around C-suite about big target on Bloomington MN because of high cost, low productivity, high absenteeism, non-collaboratve union and unfavorable politics."

Sounds like it's really going to happen on September 15th. The company no longer wants to tolerate the rebellious local union up in Minnesota. And because the Vikings beat the Houston Texans last week, the decision makers of Dallas just dislike Minnesota even more now since two of them are diehard Houston fans.

I'm not the OP but I'm a craft employee here and I just heard today from a 2nd level manager here that talk among managers is closure by end of this year.

Most of us here actually hope that both the Dallas and the Atlanta OP's are right because we do indeed want to be laid off asap.

Fake news. AT&T is in MN and in to stay. No layoffs until all craft employees there are moved into a mobility contract. When they can be surplussed for much, much, much less.

Everyone knows you are the same person posting anything to do with Bloomington to get a rise out of your coworkers. No one cares about your office.
