Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

I joined L3 a year ago

I don't remember ever regretting a decision regarding my career as much as I do this one. It's not even the layoffs. It's the toxicity all around. It feels like everybody working here is profoundly unhappy and taking it out on each other. I swear, had I known this before, I'd have stayed far, far away from here.

A lot of the walking dead wasted their entire careers at the L3 facility in Enfield, N.S.

@OP Sorry to hear this. Worked for L3H for >30 years and mostly a great experience. Look for other opportunities within the company as each location/program can have a different dynamic. Don't wait too long to bail out completely but remember that the grass is not always greener......

Agreed 100%. I truly believe in the work I do and I like most of the people on my team. But the office politics being played in very disheartening. Lots of passive aggressive tactics being employed within my particular sub-org that's not only vomit-inducing, but counter-productive to our actual mission.

No, that's actually not something you find "anywhere you go", from my 15+ years in the industry.

L3Harris is a shell of it's former greatness it appears.

The stupidity at GVL and ATC (Waco), if your have any morals, will make you sick after some time.

I've been here for a handful years at this point, and while I certainly dislike how this company is run, along with all of it's toxicity, I am grateful for the experience I've gained here and the skills I've learned. They are very transferable and are skills I wouldn't have gained if I would have stayed at my previous company. For now I would look at your job here as a way to gain as much experience and learn as many skills as possible so that you can bolster your resume as you look elsewhere.

Get out. Get out before the groove turns into a rut and the rut becomes a grave.
