What conference room is the pizza?
I can already hear the Minnesotan cows mooing…
18 more days till 🍕 pizza!
If they want people to willingly come back to 3M Center, they need to have lots of free Starbucks (maybe Tireman can return as a barista), loads of free popcorn. Some 1980s style video games (free pacman outside the cafeteria). 1000 piece puzzles on a nice table. That at least could burn two hours lost in commute as a payback for being forced back in.
One has to believe that BB has operatives who report back to him about what's posted here (unlike Tireman who spent evenings drinking scotch and foaming at the mouth at this mockery of him and Dom). Well Billy Boy quiet quitting is the checkmate to your latest power play.
The company doesn’t want to invest in people. This is clear. All of you are disposable.
Breaking news!!! Pizzas making reentry into the quad! Let’s shepherd all the cows to the meeting rooms in St. Paul for free meals!
The no pizza rule will be sunset Sept 1.
Oh no, the cows are being put on a diet! The horror!
Said it so many times. Yes, going in su-ks. But, the upside is you no longer need to show productivity. Your presence now equals work. So hide away, pay your bills in your cube, hit the gym, get coffee with a friend, just look busy. If they treat you like babies, act like babies. This isnt new guys.
Hey, maybe that would cut down on meetings since no one will pay for food. Then I could get some work done during normal hours.
@fh Take advantage of COPIOUS hours between mandatory calls for checking out TPIR, napping, walking the dog, etc. This form of Quiet Quitting easily check mates BB's obsession with butts in seats.
My boss expects me to work nights and weekends (as an office worker) and has set-up meetings during those times, not to accommodate international colleagues, but so I can work the job of 3 people. I don’t want to commute into the office only to stay late or drive home to get back online. The abuse of workers and the limited trust has to stop. If they think I can only do my job in the office, then fine, that’s where my laptop will stay.
Hard to complain with your mouth full!
Bah. Nobody I work with is based in my country anyway, so I get the "pleasure" of going into the office just to continue to meet with everyone virtually. At best I would get to listen to other people half a world away chewing their food during meetings. Joy.
Even if they did somehow manage to send snacks to my location, there is no world in which that would make up for all the downsides of in-office work.
In the old days the meeting organizer was responsible for ordering snacks/ donuts/ beverages for any meeting
To be inclusive they could use Grub Hub to drop a pastry and coffee or juice to each WFH meeting attendee.
No, I won't.
It's a start, but donuts and coffee or a pizza party is not enough to compensate for the pointless burden of RTO just because Bill is lonely.
