Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Another barn-burner of a quarter!

Total revenue was $408 million versus Q2 Revenue: $436 million, a decrease of -6% as reported and -7% in constant currency(1)

Outlook for 2025: Total revenue range is now expected to be in the range of -5% to -7% year-over-year, in constant currency(4)

No one at Snowflake pays attention to Teradata. Why would they?

Shrinking revenue and its entering desperation levels. One AVP has recently been shopping around for a dance partner to respond to a large procurement and everyone has been running the other way from him. He is getting very desperate

As of mid-2025, Snowflake Inc. continues to show strong growth, with annual revenue projected to exceed $3.5 billion, driven by high customer retention, expansion within enterprise accounts, and adoption of newer features like Snowpark and native app deployment. While the company remains unprofitable under GAAP accounting, it has achieved positive free cash flow in recent quarters, signaling improving operational efficiency despite ongoing investments in R&D and sales. Snowflake’s market capitalization hovers around $55–60 billion, reflecting strong investor confidence in its long-term potential, even amid competitive pressure from major cloud providers and broader tech market volatility.

It’s funny how shrinking revenue is outperforming expectations. I bet Snowflake really enjoys that.

How many straight quarters of negative revenue growth have there been?

Seems strange in a market that is booming. And how long will investors put up with this?
