Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Does anyone feel that Abby Johnson needs to take better advantage of her opportunities?

She has 36 billion dollars in net worth and is listed as the 6th most powerful woman on the planet Earth.

Abby, you can literally become a world-historical force for good.

You need to step away from Fido and do something actually important (I mean, Fido is important, but you're rich, powerful and 63...the universe expects more from you)

@dd hopefully that person is her daughter. She would probably be young enough to agree with the younger generation that remote work is the way to go.

So the cost cutting could come in selling all the buildings Fidelity has, letting people work from home.

She should give her money to Harvard since that’s the views she follows and they are in dire need of funding since the orange man clipped their wings.

@dd Too late, Fidelity is already acting like a publicly traded company, the culture has eroded and is fast becoming a high turnover slash and burn. It's a money grab at this point and nothing more

You do not want Abby to retire. Whoever takes over Fidelity have her retirement will cut costs and trim fat.

Because we would hear about it. They love positive press.

How do you know she's not doing big important things but doing so discreetly?

I think Fidelity management will relocate her to Westlake or North Carolina in short order.

Ya how about using 1 of those 36 billion to cure cancer.
